Selena Gomez hosted the first Rare Impact Fund Benefit gala on October 7, 2023, to raise awareness and funds for mental health causes. The singer and actress, who launched her beauty brand Rare Beauty in 2020, looked radiant in three different glittery outfits and a new bob haircut. She also shared her personal struggles with mental health and how her diagnosis helped her understand herself better.
Selena Gomez’s glamorous looks for the Rare Impact Fund Benefit
The 31-year-old star changed into three eye-catching dresses throughout the night, each one more sparkly than the previous one. She started with a silver sequined Valentino halter gown with a train at the hemline and a 3D flower in the top half. She paired the look with a pair of Messika high-jewelry earrings and a sleek ponytail.
She then switched to a purple hand-embroidered Rahul Mishra mini-dress, named Iris, which “aims to imitate the petals of an Iris flower,” according to the official account of the Indian fashion designer. She kept the same earrings and shoes, but let her hair down in loose waves.
Her third and final outfit for the gala was a black Monse long-sleeve jungle print velvet dress with Amina Muaddi pumps. She also debuted her new bob-cut hair, which reached her shoulders and framed her face. Her stylist Erin Walsh praised her for leading a mission-driven life and wrote on Instagram, “Look at her glow! I think we are most beautiful when we are aligned in substance and style.”
