Cher and her on-again, off-again boyfriend Alexander Edwards, also known as AE, have sparked reconciliation rumors after they were spotted holding hands at the Balmain fashion show in Paris on Wednesday. The couple, who have a 40-year age gap, looked happy and cozy as they sat in the front row of the luxury fashion brand’s womenswear Spring/Summer show at Paris Fashion Week.
Cher, 77, wore a white blazer with a matching wrap that featured a black embroidered detail, along with a low-cut black top and black trousers. She let her signature long hair flow in loose waves and accessorized with minimal jewelry. AE, 37, donned a black suit and matching shoes, which he paired with a crisp white shirt.

The pair reportedly split up in May, but they were seen on a dinner date earlier this month, seemingly confirming that their romance is back on. They were first romantically linked in November 2022 after they were seen strolling in Los Angeles.
Cher’s troubled son Elijah Blue Allman is in rehab
The outing comes amid Cher’s legal drama with her daughter-in-law, Marieangela King, who is divorcing her son Elijah Blue Allman. King alleged in court documents that Cher hired four men to kidnap Allman from a hotel room in New York last November, just as he was trying to reconcile with her on their wedding anniversary.
Cher was reportedly worried about Allman’s health, as he has struggled with drug addiction and mental issues for years. He is now understood to be in rehab in Pasadena, California, after collapsing on the pavement leading up to the Chateau Marmont Hotel in Los Angeles, where he had been living for at least the past six months.
Allman, 47, is the younger of Cher’s two children. He is the son of her second husband, the late rock legend Gregg Allman.
Cher made a cameo at last year’s Balmain show
This is not the first time that Cher has attended the Balmain show in Paris. Last year, she made a surprise appearance on the runway, wearing a skintight marbled black bodysuit and platform boots. She also performed two of her hit songs, “Believe” and “Waterloo”, at the after-party.
Cher has been a longtime fan of Balmain’s creative director Olivier Rousteing, who has praised her as an icon of style and music. Rousteing has also dressed other celebrities such as Kim Kardashian, Rihanna, Beyoncé, and Jennifer Lopez.
Cher is currently working on her biopic, which will be produced by Judy Craymer and Gary Goetzman, the team behind the Mamma Mia! movies. She is also set to release a new album of ABBA covers later this year.
