Britney Spears’ two sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James Federline, have reached new milestones in their lives as they celebrated their birthdays this week. Sean turned 18 on September 14, while Jayden turned 17 on September 12. The boys are Britney’s children with her ex-husband Kevin Federline, whom she divorced in 2007.
Britney Sends Her Love to Her Boys
Britney has not posted any social media tribute for her sons’ birthdays, but she has previously expressed her love and pride for them. In March 2021, she shared a rare photo of her and her boys on Instagram, writing, “It’s so crazy how time flies … My boys are so big now!!! I know … I know … it’s very hard for any mama especially a mama with boys seeing them grow up so fast !!! Talk about enough to make you go to your knees … GEEZ !!!”
She added, “I’m extremely lucky because my two babies are such gentleman and so kind that I must have done something right !!! I haven’t posted pictures of them for some time cause they’re at the age where they want to express their own identities and I totally get it … But I went out of my way to make this cool edit 🌅 and guess what … They’re finally letting me post it !!! Now I don’t feel left out anymore 😂😂😂 and I’m gonna go celebrate … Oh shit I guess cool moms don’t do that … Ok I’ll just read a book instead 🤷🏼♀️📚🤣 !!!”
In December 2020, she also wrote a heartfelt message for her sons on her own birthday, saying, “To both of my boys … I love you … I would die for you !!! God speed my precious hearts !!! I would give anything just to touch your face !!! I send my love … Mamasita.”
Kevin Federline Updates on His Sons’ Well-Being
Kevin Federline, who has primary custody of Sean and Jayden, has also kept a low profile on his sons’ birthdays. However, his lawyer Mark Vincent Kaplan told Entertainment Tonight earlier this month that the boys are doing well in Hawaii, where they moved with Kevin and his wife of 10 years, Victoria Prince.
“Everyone is doing great in Hawaii and they are very happy,” Kaplan said. He also revealed that Britney has occasional contact with her sons, saying that they had communicated with her “probably a couple of weeks ago.”
In May 2021, Kevin and Victoria sought legal approval to move Sean and Jayden to the Aloha State. Kaplan told People at the time that Britney consented to the move and that it was an opportunity for Kevin and his wife to get away from the L.A. spotlight.
“It’s an opportunity for Kevin and his wife and the boys are ready to get away from the L.A. microscope,” he said. “They’re looking forward to getting out there.”
Britney Spears Starts a New Chapter After Sam Asghari Split
Britney Spears, meanwhile, has been going through some changes in her personal life after breaking up with her boyfriend of six years, Sam Asghari, in August 2021. The pop star announced the split on Instagram, writing, “6 years is a long time to be with someone so, I’m a little shocked … But … I’m not here to explain why because its honestly nobody’s business !!! But, I couldn’t take the pain anymore honestly !!!”
She also introduced her followers to her new puppy Snow, who she called “my new baby.” She also showed off a new snake tattoo on her lower back, saying that it was inspired by her iconic performance of “I’m a Slave 4 U” at the 2001 MTV Video Music Awards.
Britney Spears is also still fighting for her freedom from the conservatorship that has controlled her life and finances since 2008. She has accused her father Jamie Spears of abusing his power and exploiting her. She has requested that he be removed as her conservator and replaced by a professional fiduciary. A hearing on the matter is scheduled for September 29.
