Dell has announced a new lineup of computer monitors at the virtual Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2023, including the world’s first 5K 40-inch curved monitor with Thunderbolt 4 connectivity. The Dell UltraSharp 40 Curved Monitor (U4021QW) is a revolutionary product that delivers exceptional color and clarity, as well as powerful charging and data transfer capabilities.
The Dell UltraSharp 40 Curved Monitor features a 2500 radius curved screen that offers a panoramic view and immersive experience. The resolution is 5,120 x 2,160, resulting in a pixel density of 140 PPI. The monitor covers 98% of the DCI-P3 color gamut and 100% of the Adobe sRGB color space, ensuring accurate and vibrant colors for creative and professional work.
The monitor also supports HDR 600, which enhances the contrast and brightness of the display. The monitor has a 2000:1 contrast ratio and a peak brightness of 600 nits, making it ideal for viewing high dynamic range content. The monitor also uses IPS Black technology, which delivers up to 41% deeper blacks, better color accuracy, and wider viewing angles.
A versatile hub for connectivity and charging
The Dell UltraSharp 40 Curved Monitor is not only a display, but also a hub for connectivity and charging. The monitor has a built-in Thunderbolt 4 port, which allows users to connect their laptops and other devices with a single cable. The Thunderbolt 4 port can deliver up to 90W of power to charge laptops, as well as transfer data at speeds up to 40 Gbps.

Dell has also announced two other models in its UltraSharp line, the 34-inch Curved USB-C Hub Monitor and the 43-inch UltraSharp 4K USB-C Hub Monitor, which will be available later this month for $1,500 and $1,150 respectively.
