Taco Bell fans can now recreate their favorite dishes at home with new recipe kits

Taco Bell, the popular fast-food chain known for its Mexican-inspired menu, has launched a new line of recipe kits that allow customers to make some of the brand’s most popular dishes at home. The kits, which are available at select grocery stores across the U.S., include ingredients and instructions for making Crunchy Tacos, Nacho Cheese Doritos Locos Tacos, and Cheesy Gordita Crunch.

The recipe kits are part of Taco Bell’s strategy to cater to its loyal fan base, who often crave the brand’s signature flavors and sauces. According to Taco Bell, the kits are designed to offer a convenient and fun way for customers to enjoy their favorite menu items at home, especially during the pandemic when many people are cooking more and dining out less.

“We know that our fans love to get creative in the kitchen and have their own Taco Bell experiences at home,” said Jennifer Arnoldt, Taco Bell’s senior director of retail engagement and experience, in a press release. “We’re excited to offer them a new way to do that with our recipe kits, which feature the same quality ingredients and flavors they know and love from our restaurants.”

The kits come with everything customers need to make 12 tacos, except for the meat, cheese, and lettuce, which they can purchase separately. The kits also include a QR code that customers can scan to access step-by-step video tutorials, tips, and tricks from Taco Bell’s chefs.

Taco Bell’s recipe kits are the latest addition to its retail offerings

The recipe kits are not the first time that Taco Bell has ventured into the retail space. The brand has previously partnered with various retailers and manufacturers to sell its products and merchandise, such as sauces, chips, clothing, and accessories. Some of the most recent examples include:

  • Taco Bell’s Nacho Cheese Sauce, which became vegan-friendly in 2023 and is available in 15-ounce jars at grocery stores.
  • Taco Bell’s Taco Lover’s Pass, which was re-launched in 2023 and allows customers to redeem one taco per day for 30 days for $10 through the Taco Bell app.
  • Taco Bell’s Volcano Menu, which returned in 2023 after a decade-long hiatus and features the Volcano Burrito, Volcano Taco, and Lava Sauce.
  • Taco Bell’s partnership with Paris Hilton, which launched in 2023 and offers customers a chance to call a toll-free number and get advice from the celebrity on topics such as fashion, beauty, and tacos.

Taco Bell’s recipe kits are available for a limited time only

The recipe kits are currently available at select grocery stores in the U.S., including Albertsons, Safeway, Jewel-Osco, Acme, Shaw’s, Star Market, Tom Thumb, and Randalls. The kits cost $5.49 each and have a shelf life of 12 months. However, Taco Bell said that the kits are only available for a limited time and while supplies last, so customers who want to try them should act fast.

“We hope that our fans will have fun making and sharing their own Taco Bell creations at home with our recipe kits,” Arnoldt said. “We encourage them to tag us on social media with #TacoBellAtHome and show us their masterpieces.”
