Apple has unveiled its latest iPhone models, the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus, along with the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max. While the Pro models offer some significant upgrades and features, the iPhone 15 Plus seems to be a redundant and unnecessary option that does not justify its existence.
The iPhone 15 Plus is just a bigger iPhone 15
The main difference between the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus is the screen size. The iPhone 15 has a 6.1-inch display, while the iPhone 15 Plus has a 6.7-inch display. Both models feature the Dynamic Island, an innovative way to interact with important alerts and Live Activities. Both models also have the same camera system, with a 48MP main camera and a 2x telephoto lens. Both models also have the same A16 Bionic chip, USB-C port, and durability features.
The only other advantage of the iPhone 15 Plus is the battery life. The larger size allows for a bigger battery, which means longer usage time. However, this is not a significant selling point, as the iPhone 15 already has a decent battery life of up to 18 hours of video playback. The iPhone 15 Plus can last up to 21 hours of video playback, which is only three hours more.
The iPhone 15 Plus does not compete well with the Pro models

The Pro models also have larger and brighter displays than the iPhone 15 Plus, with peak HDR brightness reaching up to 2000 nits. The Pro models also have more storage options, starting from 128GB up to 1TB.
The price difference between the iPhone 15 Plus and the Pro models is also not very significant. The iPhone 15 Plus starts at $899, while the iPhone 15 Pro starts at $999 and the iPhone 15 Pro Max starts at $1,199. For an extra $100 or $300, users can get a lot more value and features from the Pro models than from the iPhone 15 Plus.
The iPhone 15 Plus is not worth buying
The iPhone 15 Plus is a pointless addition to Apple’s lineup that does not offer anything new or exciting. It is essentially a bigger version of the iPhone 15, which is already a great phone for most users.
